Mission & Heart of the Project
Art in service of animals. A real story. A real commitment.
Beyond the project, Woundipets™ comes from a true story.
Where it all began
The spark came from the author’s diabetic cat, Tiny, and from the many people who shared their own experiences of facing impossible veterinary bills. Again and again, the same injustice appeared: animals suffering not because they were unloved, but because care was unaffordable. From these real stories, a world took shape.
Woundipets™ was born from one simple conviction: when your animal is sick, you shouldn't have to choose between their life and your financial survival.
Every NFT sold, every product purchased, every share on social media — it all converts creative energy into concrete support for animals in need.
Every cent donated is tracked and published publicly. No black box, no vague promises. You know where the money goes — always.
Dogs, cats, rabbits, exotics — chronic illness, accident, emergency surgery. No animal should be abandoned because of a bill.
Where veterinary costs are among the highest in the world — and where an independent clinic has become an endangered species.
Let's talk numbers — the ones no one warns you about when you adopt a pet. A routine visit with vaccines? Starting at $150. Neutering or spaying? $250 and up. X-rays or ultrasound? $500 to $1,000, easily. Dental cleaning — or worse, extractions? Up to $4,000. And that's just for a healthy dog or cat of average weight. Add a chronic illness like diabetes, factor in the size of the animal, and the numbers multiply fast.
And don't even get started on euthanasia. A friend of mine paid $600 for a vet to travel just 5km to her home — so her cat could die peacefully in her arms, in familiar surroundings. Six hundred dollars! For a last act of love... That's simply not right!
Why has it come to this? Because over the past decade, independent veterinary clinics have been systematically bought out by large investment conglomerates — Mars Petcare, IVC Evidencia, JAB Holding — who have pushed prices up by 25% to 60% since 2020, driven purely by profit. The family vet you trusted? Gone or absorbed. What replaced them? Corporations with shareholders to satisfy.
→ Full breakdown of veterinary costs & why they explodedBuilding a fair, reliable, and truly transparent donation system takes time. We won't make grand promises we can't back up. Here's exactly where we stand — and where we're headed.
- 1A dedicated fund of 30%, taken directly from the creator's own earnings (after basic project expenses), is set aside from every sale. The more Woundipets™ grows, the higher that percentage becomes.
- 2Every cent is publicly displayed in real time on the Donations page — no vague totals, no approximations. You can see exactly what's in the jar.
- 3While partnerships with veterinary associations are being set up in Canada, the USA, the UK, and other countries where vet care is expensive, each case is reviewed individually. Every donation is documented — publicly with the owner’s consent, or privately upon request — to ensure transparent and verifiable support.
- 4The long-term goal: a Woundipets™ non-profit structure, with partner clinics, accredited organizations, and a community that votes on priorities.
We know this isn't perfect yet. But we'd rather be honest about where we are than hide behind polished language. Every animal helped is a real victory — and you'll be able to see each one.
Unlike some successful NFT projects that built large corporate structures with hundreds of employees — increasing costs and reducing the share available for good causes — Woundipets™ is intentionally designed to stay lean: freelancers, external partners, and collaborations rather than overhead. More money in the jar, less in administration.
Every NFT purchased, every share, every kind word — it all helps. Ready to be part of something real?
